| I am researching two names The Griffith’s and the Littles. I’ve been at this some time, but I can’t seem to get past Issac Griffith, he was born abt. 1805/1813 Va. died 1878 Roseland Mo.Rebecca Parris-Griffith Died 1877 Roseland Mo. This is from the Henry Co. Mo. history: Isaac and Rebecca and their children moved to Benton Co. Mo in 1868, and bought 200ac. farm near Union School. He had sold his place in Iowa, for $2,500.00, and had given the money to the postmaster for safe keeping in till he got settled. The man stole the money and left, He was never found him. I know Isaac was Isaac E., but what the E. stood for I don't know. I know Isaac had a brother who lived his life in Ohio. I don't know his name. I know that Isaac's mother died, after he was born, and was wet-nursed by a nanny (black). She raised the boys. The boys were born in Va. I believe they left Va. Together for Ohio, but Isaac E. left Ohio for Louisa Co. Iowa Louisa Co. Iowa Census 1846-1860 June Isaac E. Griffith age 48 married Rebecca Parris age 42 William Edward Little Sr. was born bet1770/1780 Va. and died Sept. 17, 1844 Boone Co. Missuri Married Sarah I would appreate any help anyone could give me, and would help with anything I have. |
