5. ERIC³ HANSSON (HANS² MATTSSONS, MATT¹ HANSSON)⁵ was born 19 Mar 1691 in Höjen, Garpenberg, Kopparberg, SE ^6,^6,⁷, and died May 1758 in Höjen, Garpenberg, Kopparberg, SE ^8,^8,⁹. He married CHERSTIN ANDERSDOTTER⁹ 01 Nov 1730 in Höjen, Garpenberg, Kopparberg, SE ¹⁰, daughter of ANDERS LARSSON.

Death notice translated:
"1758 May.
Eric Hansson in Höjen, born there 1691, learned to read in book in his younger days. He served at the (Garpenberg) factory until 1714 when he enlisted as a dragoon for the factory. After that he became a soldier in Tavastehus, Finland, and served at war until 1728, when he was discharged. he moved back to Höjen and married 1730 the widow of Eric Ersson, Kerstin Andersdotter, there. They had two daughters, both are alive. At May 14 in the evening he went up to the lake Skänsjön to look at fishing. On his way up he suddenly became ill by an unknown illness, presumably by the flen (heart pain) that often pained him before. He never came up to the lake but died sitting on the ground, aged 67."

Notes for CHERSTIN ANDERSDOTTER:
Death notice indicates she first married Eric Ersson, from Höjen, in 1711 and they had three children. He died in 1722. And then she marries Eric Hansson in 1730 and they have two children. He dies in 1758.
