He married ANNA JANSDOTTER⁶³ 01 Nov 1787 in Hedemora, Kopparberg, SE, daughter of JAN GÖRANSSON and MARGRETTA JANSDOTTER.

Jan Z. and Anna Jansdotter were foster children of an eldery couple who had no children of their own. This couple, Anders Olsson and his wife Christina Jansdotter lived at Grådö, Hedemora. Their will of 23 April 1799 with a codicil of Oct. 4, 1909 was in favor of Jan Zachrisson from Höjen, Garpenberg, and his wife Anna Jansdotter from Bältarbo. The young couple had been the old couples' foster children from 1788 onwards. The young couple worked the farm and would inherit everything from the old couple except the land which would go to the old couples' blood relatives. Christina Jansdotter died 12 Feb. 1811 at Gådö.(minutes of the court proceedings May 13, 1811 at Hedemora (klha VII AI:30).
      Clerical survey records at Hedemora indicate Jan Zachrisson was born 1760 at Garpenberg. There is no Jan Zachrisson entered in the book of births in Garpenberg in 1760. (Actually born in 1759).
      After the death of Jan's parents in 1773 he moved to Östra Vrenninge, Fläckebo sn. In 1774 he served as a farm hand until 1776 when he left. Destination was not entered in the parish reocrds of Fläckebo.
