Thirty plus years of searching have not revealed the secret of the mysterious disappearance of my 4th Great-grandfather, Johannes or John Kame or Kahm. Family legend states that "he went to France to claim an estate when 3rd g-grandfather, Jacob, was just a boy and never returned." He left a wife, Elizabet Reinhart, and four children, Jacob, Elizabeth, John and Catharine. The year he "disappeared" would have been abt 1819.
