On the Outer Banks of North Carolina and southeastern Virginia, we're researching descendants of Robert Lewellyn Beasley (b. 10-3-1873, d. 2-14-1948), son of Henry and Mary Beasley; and Mary O'Neal (b. 4-8-1872, d. 4-15-1943), daughter of Selinda Barco and Isaac O'Neal. Robert's children were Raymond, Ernie (Erna), Lance, Cecil, Norman, and Robert Jr. Robert was an ordained, circuit-riding Methodist preacher.We're also researching Jerry Myre (sp.?) Thompson (b. 6-20-1888, d.?), son of Tommy Thompson and Mary McKingie (sp?); and Bertha Burella Joplin (b. 2-6-1887, d. 5-8-1942), m. 1-9-1910. Their children were Marie, Irene, Otis, Dorothy, Gilbert, Mary, Willie, Veda, and Lillian. The children were born around Arkansas and Missouri. It's possible that Tommy Thompson was from Kentucky or Tennessee.
