May 13, 1870, Christina Bickle filed a petition against William A. Wright, alleging that, between March 15th & April 25th, 1870, cut down 125 growing trees on her farm situated in the north end of lot 794, sections 27 & 28, township 13, range 16, except 13 acres off the north end of said tract [in Green Twp., Hocking Co., OH], Christina Bickel asks for $78.00 in compensation. Continuances were granted in June & November 1870, February, May & October 1871. On January 26, 1872 William A. Wright denied every allegation made by Christina Bickel. The court judges that Christine Bickel should recover $50.00 & costs from William A. Wright. William A. March 17, 1875. Christina Bickel loaned Andrew Drescher $250.00 to be paied back on or before April 1, 1877, at a rate of 6% interest from April 1, 1875. On August 30, 1877, Joshua Lehman, administrator of the estate of Christina Bickel, through his attorney Samuel H. Bright, requests payment of the promisory note in open court. September 8, 1877, Andrew Drescher is served a summons to appear in court. November 1877. The court finds that Andrew Drescher is to pay $250.00 plus $23.75 in interest to the estate of Christina Bickel, together with costs in and about the suit.
