| I am researching the William DeGrummond family. I am interested in all persons related to this man. His father was born about 1770, supposedly in France. His father moved to Philadelphia in the 1790s where he married a Julia Johnston. He had at least one child, William, born in 1792 (0r 1796). William fought for the United States in the War of 1812. He spent some time in Michigan in the early 1820s, and in New York in the mid to late 1820s. He married Julia Corbit of Welland, Ontario, in 1824, in Erie, NY. If you have any information pertaining to this family, please contact me. I also would be happy to discuss what I have discovered so far.
