The UTTER Genealogy SiteUpdated September 5, 2000 | |
| This site will consist of 6 genealogy enthusiasts research of the UTTER namesake who are in agreement with the order and number of children of the first settler, Nicholas Mattson UTTER, arriving in the New World about 1654 and settling in Westerly, R.I. around 1678. This site will consist of lines from this individual and will not branch off into those of which are not part of the UTTER lineage. Nicholas Mattson Utter arrived in America in 1654 to fight the war between the Dutch and the Swedish in what was then, Delaware/New Jersey at Fort Christina, but when the Dutch won, he left the Swedish Colony and sailed to other places until 1678 where he settled in Westerly, R.I. and supposedly sired 9 children. I, Joni Utter Anderson, am a descendant of his son, Jabez UTTER, his eldest son. Other lines will be introduced as the webmaster receives them, but for now, what is here, can be accessed, but do not rely totally upon as new evidence may change it all. I, Joni, am basically a genealogy hobbyist, and my sources come from all over and may not have been verified outside my own line...so be careful. Soon, though, new evidence will be brought in and will be documented as truth from sources that show it to be. Only data will be available here; pictures, letters and stories will be shown at the UTTER Family Home Site below. |
