| I am researching the Collins and Floyd families of the Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and West Virginia region. My research on the Collins family has taken me all the way back to the lineage of Thomas Collins, native of England in the early 16th century. I am also researching the family of Captain John H Geiger, born about 1807 in St. Augustine, FL, and died about 1885 in Key West, FL. His father, John Geiger, who was born just after the founding of the constitution, came from Lancaster, PA area. I am also researching Smith and Huggett families of England. The Smith family migrated to Canada in the late 19th century. I am also researching Karpan and Merriman families of Iowa. The Karpans or Krpans came to the United States from Croatia in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The Merrimans were born in the United States and Canada in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. |
