Hello! I am Kristine Anderson-Manos. I am researching my Anderson and Bood family roots. I know that all my great grandparents came from Sweden between 1890 and 1910. The came from Sundsvall, Solje, Finnerodja, and Rumskulla, as far as I know. The Boods and Johnsons and Brandts moved to Chicago, IL. The Andersons, Finstroms, went to Escanaba MI. Some moved to Kansas; Courtland and Topeka. I also know that one of my Great Great Grandfathers was actually from France. He moved to Sweden when Sweden brought in a French nobleman to be king. We know his original French name was Alrene. He took the name Bood while in the Swedish Army. That's what I know at the moment. Thank you for your assistance! |
