Lyman Rowlen BASS was born in either Mass. or Nova Scotia but, lived in Jamaica, Queens, New York with his wife Sarah Holmes and their children; George, John, Mariett, Elizabeth and Eliza. Lyman died October 16, 1840 at the age of 40 and the family went west to Iowa.I would like to learn more about where Lyman came from and would gladly share information.

John Gilbert Bass born 1828 in New York, settled in McGregor, Iowa and in 1850 married Phebe Ann Draper they had 12 children.

George Ransom Bass married Mary Martha Shepherd March 10, 1884 in Garnavillo, Iowa and raise 7 children.
