With the help of some special people, specifically; Francis Coakley, Donna Douglas, Marie Radcliffe, Jo Harris and Judie Abson, I have been able to trace my family to the Isle of Man and onto Australia. I have also had the good fortune to meet extended family members through their extensive family research on the web.Tim Cannell Davis (3rd cousin once removed-we think) whose web site "Manx Ancestors and Other Relations" http://junior.apk.net/~ctd, connected the Mylecharane and Quayle families. Bringing a chapter to Ohio. Scot Brown in Australia, whose web page "Convicts, Characters & Cads" www.uq.net.au/~zzsbrown/family, connected the Mylecharanes on the Isle of Man and brought them into Australia adding a wonderfully rich family history and helped fill in many blanks for me.Another peripheral family member. A very special thank you to you all. My Gr.Gr.Gr. Grandfather Thomas Mylecharane was born in Jurby on October 13, 1799.He and his wife Jane Caley had 9 children on the Isle before coming to the US and settling in Chicasaw County, Iowa.He was the 7th child of Philip Mylecharane and Ann Quayle. The name changed to Craine on arriving in US. Anyone with additional information is free to contact me, all information is greatly appreciated. Surnames also include;Richardson (Scotland & possibly the Isle of Man) Pugh, Erickson, Mylecharane/Craine, Quayle and Wood. I have just started researching my grandmother's family,Grider & Pince. The Grider family from Wisconsin, Minnesota and possibly Missouri.
