This can not be correct because of his marriage date in 1752 to Sara Carney.), and died Oct 08, 1781 in Camden,Kershaw Co, SC. He married SARAH CARNEY Nov 28, 1752 in Overwharton Parish, Stafford Co, Va (Source: .), daughter of JOHN CARNEY and MARY UNKNOWN. She was born 1739 in Stafford Co, Va, and died Aft. 1811 in Warren Co, KY (Source: death of Sara Carney Anderson, Betty Jo Hughes information received over internetJan 9, 1998, lives Eastland, Tx.).

OHN ANDERSON:
John Anderson was a Captain in the State of South Carolina minuteman on Feb 6, 1779. He received 162 pounds for 54 days of service. He is listed as having served in the Cerokee War under Col Richard Richardson whose men were mainly from Camden District of Craven CO and some ment from the western area of Williamsburg Co, SC. Revolutionary Claim file in South Carolina # 1000-1140, 1774-1807, Ss796 which was listed from the Secretary of State, , State Department of Archives and History, Raleigh, NC. "John Anderson died at the Hospital at Camden the 8th day of October 1781" stated by Alex Brevard and witnessed by John Armstrong, Lt Col on Sept 22, 1791. "To the Commissioners of the Treasury of the State of South Carolina, Gentlemen, Please to deliver Capt John Gowan Indents for the amount of the within mentioned accounts against the Public of Said State it being my just right, the widow of John Anderson, and mother of Scarlet and Joshua Anderson and Administratix of each of their estates your favor in this will Oblige your Fathful, Servant" X Sarah Anderson. Acknowledged the 20th day of May 1786 by Baylis Earle JP.

John Anderson served in Roebuck's Regiment in the Fall of Charleston, first Battle for Augusta.

ARAH CARNEY:
Sara Carney drew a pension from the State of SC for her husband John and two sons, Scarlet and Joshua were killed in the Revolutionary War. On the 11th day of August 1807, was the last record of her application for pension. "To the Honorable Senate and House of Representatives now meet and Setting in General Assembly in the State of South Carolina the Petition of Sarah Anderson humbly shew you that she lost in the last Revolutionary War her husband and two sons who were true friends to their country and that immediately after the war the said Sarah was first put on the pension list in this state and drew it yearly until necessity compelled me to follow my children from the State as nearly all of them was about to leave it now the prayer of your petitioner that you will give unto me all the money I should have been entitled to draw as a pensioner had I not left the State also a Grant that i shall be put on pension list again and draw it as usual while time lasts with me and I your poor old handmaid will ever feel myself in duty bound to pray, Etc. Sarah Anderson A Widow, Kentucky Livingston County. Personally appeared before us John Mercer and William Mitchersson Treustee for said County Vincent Anderson, John Holland and John Anderson and John Chapman, and said upon oath that Sarah Anderson, Relict of John Anderson who was killed in the Revolutionary War, is now surviving, who is not possessed of Land or negroes.
The above Sarah Anderson is the same who had her husband killed in the Service of the State of South Carolina and has Drawed a pension from that state." Sworn and inscreibed before us Vincent Anderson, John Holland, John Anderson, John Campman.
