* The Witt/Whitt, Clays, Clarks, Stinsons of America*

Updated December 17, 2006

This is the current culmination of our research of the Witt/Whitts of Virginia and the midwest as well as their connection to the Stinsons, Pucketts, Tuggles of the Americas.

I have followed the paternal side of my ancestory of my biological father since there does not seem to be enough information available to me at this time of my adopted father's family ancestory (Anechiarico).

This line of Clays goes back to England, and I am no longer in contact with them, nor have I been for most of my life.

The Witt/Whitt line seems to originate from Ireland with the arrival in America of John Witt, born in the mid 1600's. Although not completely verified as to his parent's names, it is believed that they were originally from Ireland. This is true for the Pucketts as well, since Squire Puckett had an irish accent and pictures that I have seem to indicate this as well due to his appearance being that of an Irish background. There seems to be links in England with this as well, but I have not found any verifiable proof as of yet to make this connection.

This work of my ancestor tree has been the culmination of many years of my own personal research and with the help of others following the same information.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have anything further to add or to ask about.
