Anez Genealogy

Welcome to the Anez Genealogy site.

The family name original was AGNES and our ancestors came from the Channel Islands. The spelling changed to ANEZ when George ANEZ settled on the south coast of the Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec, in the 1830's. Some of his children moved into the United States, settling originally in Minnesota and Wisconsin, while others spread across Canada.

The "first" generation information concerning the family on the Isle of Jersey is highly speculative at this time.
