BOL JOHANNE HANSDTR³ ALVSVÅG (ÅGOTA NILSDATTER² FYLKESNES, NILS¹ FILIPPUSSON) was born 1861 in Alvsvåg , NORWAY [Finnaas parish, near Bremnæs, on Bømlo ], and died 12 Mar 1946 in Marietta, Minnesota ¹⁰. She married ANDREW O. DAHLE¹¹ 12 Nov 1892 in Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA. He was born 07 Jul 1858 in Norway ¹², and died Oct 1946 in Marietta, Minnesota¹².

"She emigrated to the US around 1887. She married Andrew O. Dahle (a widower with children) in Winneshiek County, Iowa, November 12, 1892. The family moved to Marietta, Minnesota around 1902. Andrew O Dahle had 8 children: Ue, Jetmund, Margaret, Andrew, Gerhard, Helmer, Bernard, and Casper. The older children were born to Andrew O. Dahle's first wife, and the younger children were born to our great-aunt Johanna Hanson Dahle - these younger children were our mothers' first cousins. Johanna Hanson Dahle died in 1941 and is buried in the Marietta cemetery. Andrew O. Dahle's son, Jetmund (called "Jappe") married Anna Marie's oldest daughter, Lydia Eritsland, around 1910. Jappe and Lydia had 10 children (5 are still living - 2001). I [Iris] was at their Marietta farm in the summer of 1957." [ email from Iris von Tettenborn Nast, Sept 5 2001.

Note: letter from Josef Nesse, Oslo, Jan 4 2002 to Lis Angus -- he said her name was Bol Johanne (up to then my records simply called her Johanna)

Note: World Family Tree Vol 11 #346 - gives her death date as 1946. Which is correct?

undated note in Betty Wulff's files, author is one of Anna Marie's daughters:" Living upstairs in house where Mr. Dahle was living. Johanne threw potato peeling out and almost hit Dahle's overalls. He was widower who had Jappe and Margaret. She said she sure didn't like him -- but married him.

son of [Bol] Johanne, Anna Marie's sister, who married Andrew O. Dahle after Ana Ferkingstad died. Ana's children included Jappe Dahle, who married Anna Marie's daughter Lydia.
Helmer & Elizabeth married later in life and never had any children. They lived with Johanna & Anders for many years until they both died in the 1940s. (Jan Ruppert, email April 2002)

"Great Grandma Eristland's sister [Johanne] married my Great grandfather Dahle after my great grandmother died. She [Johanne] raised my grandfather [Jappe] Dahle. "Haldri Martine married Ole Larson (Ersland Cosatt Oldereid) ?? We visited a man named Gustav Oldereid, Haldri's son, a retired teacher, living with his wife on a farm called Oldereid. The first thing he did was show me a picture of your Mom, Alma, at about 19 yrs. of age-she was beautiful, telling me that he and she had corresponded for years. He was Haldri's third of four children. Haldri's eldest, Martin Solberg, was the father of Hanna and Ingeborg [married to Jonas & Knut Knutsen]."

Brit Langkaas (email July 2003) "When Ole Larsson Ersland moved to Oldereid, the family (or at least some of them!) took the surname Oldereid."
