"For over forty years we have traveled around the world including always taking our kids with us before they went on to their own lives. ....Before I retired, I was (simultaneously) a municipal judge for twenty years, a purchasing agent for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and the program director for two local access cable television stations. Bev worked for Wisconsin Power & Light Co. for 37 years and did the budgets for the power plants in Wisconsin...We retired two years ago this month and moved from Wisconsin to Daytona Beach, Florida. We live in a new condo right on the beach which has been called the most famous beach in the world...We enjoy traveling and have toured or cruised to most locations throughout the world. We also enjoy motorcycling and have driven our Honda GoldWing all over the country. This June we're going to go on a monthlong trip out West with the GoldWing. John has Type II diabetes (as has his cousin Peter Henry) and writes, "Diabetes has been a silent killer in the Ersland family with Borghild Arlene Schluter dying from in in her thirties and Mark, son of Arthur Ingvald Ersland dying of it in his twenties. Others have been afflicted by it including myself.... I would be curious to know if the descendants of Lars Andreas if also been aflicted by this deadly disease."
