My dad and I are researching the Paris family from Montreal, Canada, and settled in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and finally settled around the area of Independence, Missouri. James C. Paris born in 1782 Pennsylvania is the farthest relative that we have been able to trace, but feel certain that before him, our family lived in Montreal. James C. Paris married Anna May in Clark County, Kentucky on June 4, 1812 and he died August 21, 1849. They had 12 Children, John, Berry, Joshua, Stephen D, Permelia, James M, Sarah, Fanny, Eliza Jane, Ned, Harrison, and my direct descendent, Asa. Asa Paris was born June 22, 1826 in Kentucky. He was married to Catherine Dowden November 9, 1847, and their son, my great great great grandfather, Namon Paris, was born March 2, 1849 in Delaware Township, Indiana. Namon married Lydia Ellen Deppo on November 8, 1874 and on April 28, 1877, Lloyd Sylvester Paris was born. Lloyd Paris married Luella Maude Brown and they had two children, Erschell Irving and Vera Mae. Erschell was born December 11, 1899 and married Edith Wilson-Kennedy. She died in 1947, and he was later remarried to Mary Jane Weightman. Erschell died March 22, 1988 in Kansas City Missouri. Erschell and Edith had one child, my grandfather, who is still living in the Kansas City area. If anyone has any information on any of the above people that they would like to share, it would be much appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
