We are just beginning our family search. The big mystery at the moment is my grandfather Theodor Apfeld . He was married in Hamilton,Ohio.He lived in the Hamilton,Ohio area between 1860-1900,ran away to Chicago and died there in 1937. Thanks to a new found relative we have discovered Theodor Apfeld had a brother Anton and both landed in Baltimore Nov 1870 on the SS Ohio. They were ages 4& 6 respectively. Also their mother age 35 Johanna and an infant sister Lena were with them. The manifest says they were from Leer,Germany a very small town. Any more clues out there?
