| I am researching the surname WOHLGAMUTH, PUTMAN, SPADE, that all came from PA circa 1815 and possibly Maryland before that time. They moved to Wayne County OH from York & Lancaster PA in 1815. Jacob Wohlgamuth and wife Elizabeth BISEL brought their children and settled in Wayne Co. OH. One of their son's, Isaac, the eldest, moved to Putnam Co. then to Hancock Co. which in 1845 turned into Wyandot Co. Ridge Twp with his wife Mary PUTMAN also from PA. Isaac and Mary were among the earliest pioneer settlers in that county. There they raised their family of 12 children. Isaac's siblings and He and Mary's childrens names available. MORE DETAIL WILL BE ADDED LATER. TODAYS DATE 10/23/2000 |
