Nancy Hankins Appelgate, 77, stepmother of Lewis Appelgate of Nevada, was born in MacDonnough county, Illinois, Feb. 8, 1855, died at her home in Seattle, Washington, May 21, 1932. She is survived by one brother George Hankins now living in El Dorada, Kansas. Two granddaughters and two great grandchildren; one stepson Lewis E. Appelgate now of Nevada, beside nieces and nephews. She was a faithful and devout member of the Methodist Episcopal church of which she had been a member since childhood.
