A lot of work has been done researching the family of Alexander Orrhud & wife Ethalen who came to America ca 1750-1755 to PA. Son Thomas Sr. fought in Revolutionary War from Chester Co., PA. Son Thomas Jr. went to Ross Co., OH. Gr. grandson Andrew Jackson fought in Civil War.

The link from Andrew Jackson to Thomas Jr. has not been proved. Thomas Jr. married Catie Bowers in Ross Co. OH in 1820. They moved to Tippecanoe Co. IN where she died in 1831 and was the first person buried in the Old Union Cemetery in Tippe Co., IN. Thomas Jr. left with three children, probably back to OH.

Catie was given land by Wm Bryant Sr. in IN or OH. The names of the three children are not known. We are trying to find the names. Andrew Jackson appears in the 1850 Ross Co., OH census living with his grandmother and Aunt Elizabeth BRYANT YOUNG.

Thomas Jr. appears later in IA where he married Elizabeth Fish in 1844 and had six more children, including Thomas Jefferson Arihood.
