Updated September 5, 2000

I am researching the ARCHER family from Bertie/Hertford County, NC. Thomas ARCHER had at least four sons, Baker, Hancock, Jacob and Demcey. Jacob ARCHER moved to Sumner County, TN around 1800. This branch of ARCHERs is frequently listed as free black or mulatto in the censuses. According to family history, there was frequent marriages with native American Indians or with decendants of those marriages.

In addition, I'm researching the Julius BOLLETER and Henry SECRIST (originally Heinrich Siegrist) both born in Switzerland and coming to the U.S. in the mid 1800s. Both families moved to TX by the late 1800s.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
