Rebecca wrote a will in 1812, the details of which now follow: In the Name of God, Amen Rebecca Archer of Chesham in the County of Bucks, being of sound mind and memory, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say, I give, devise and bequeath to my two brothers, Henry and William Archer of Chesham aforesaid, whom I nominate, constitute and appoint to be the Executors of this, my last Will and Testament, the sum of forty pounds, which money is now in the hands of my brother Matthew Archer of Harby in the County of Leicester, which said sum shall be demanded and received by my said Executors as soon as possible after my decease, and shall be invested or deposited in their hands for the purpose of carrying on their Trade or Business, the Interest whereof shall be regularly paid annually to my Father and Mother, John and Mary Archer of Chesham aforesaid, by my Executors for and during the term of their natural lives. Also I give and devise to my two sisters, Louisa and Amelia Archer the remaining part of such sums of money, revision or reversion as shall be due and appertain to me at the time of my decease to be equally divided between them, share and share alike. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eithteenth day of May, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twelve.
