He married Anne "Nanette" Doucet June 13, 1786 in Ste Anne de Ruisseau, Nova Scotia, daughter of Dominique Doucet and Madeleine Muise.

Notes for Benjamin François Muise:
He came to Yarmouth County with the return of the Acadians, who had been exciled. "La Pointe-des-Ben" in Sluice Point in Yarmouth County was named after Benjamin. It is here that he and his children lived. His house still stood in 1994. The following was taken from the first of two pages in Benjamin's catechism which is in Grand Pré. On the inside cover was printed by Benjamin at a very young age: "Ce livre apartient a moi" (This book belongs to me) - Benjamin Mius "Pour etre ensigne aux enfants qui ne sont pas encore confirmes." (This book was given to one who had not yet been confirmed.)
