I have been searcing it seems for years and i still do not have much infoon my husband's (STEPHEN JAMES ARDIS) family roots, nor am I sure of any spelling. My husband's family moved to California in 1964 from Ottowa, Onatrio Canada. His Grandfather CUNNINGHAM MCDOWELL ARDIS originally came to Canada from Ireland (i think) and lived until he was 105 years old. I know that he died after 1983. He was married to ANNE EITHER. Cunningham and Anne had a family of 6 children. Lois, Gordon, John(Jack), Harriet, Victor and Kenny (died 2001). Gordon is my husband's father.
His mother's father ANTHIM(?) JAMES POULIN i have no information other than he died in the 1980's and was married to HELEN MCGOVERN, and they were Catholic. James and Helen had a family of 7 children. Evelyn, Donald, Arnold, Gary, Lenord, Shirley (died 1996) and Lois (died 1972). Lois was my husband's mother.
I wish I knew More, any Information would be a great suprise and very appreciated!
