The Arflins

William R. Flinn left Blount County, Tennessee in 1860 and resettled in Banks County, GA. in the early 1860's. In 1864 the name appeared as William Arflin on documents in Banks County. His son, W.R.C. Arflin, became the only male heir to pass the name Arflin on. The descendents of William R. Flinn variously went by either Flinn or Arflin at different times. W.R.C. himself was known locally as Riley Flinn for many years. But one thing is certain; all Arflins are descendents of William R. Flinn from Tennessee. We're all cousins.

According to census records, William R's parents were both born in Tennessee but it is not known who they were. Do you know?
