Death: found on p 21 "Tombstone Inscriptions of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery" done by Ross County Historical Society. "Armstrong, John d Jul 12, 1825, age 63 yrs." - Since a child of Reed and Sarah Armstrong is buried with John and his wife, Elizabeth, it's assumed that John Reed's was Reed's father. Further Mt. Pleasant burial records apparently not available.

Note: Item#72998, July 12, 1786, The Pennsylvania Gazette:...John Armstrong, innkeeper in second street below the Drawbridge...offered a reward for a runaway servant. Providence Township, Montgomery County, July 3, 1786...included a notice to ..."all masters of vessels are forbid to carry him off."
