Hi. My name is Joyce Armstrong-Cooper. These are the families; that I am researching.
COOPER [ my husband's Father's name] Our oldest COOPER is William H. COOPER whose family was from England. [See link for Cooper lineage on this page.]We have received a delayed birth certificate for my husband's father. It included information about the birthplace of his Mom and Dad and other important information about NICHOLAS Family (William Harry COOPER's Wife, and my husband's grandmother) We have received information about this side of the COOPER family, which goes back to the 1800's. For information and Lineage information about the COOPER line as well as the NICHOLAS line, please see the "Descendents of Jonathan Nicholas" lineage below.
BRUNS [my Father's name]. Other related surnames are
TAYLOR, EDWARDS,LAMBERT,JACKSON. The BRUNS came from Germany.The other surnames were located in West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Conn. [See link for BRUNS lineage on this page.]
We have recently found the connections to my grandmother's Edwards family. For years I knew my grandmother's name, but not her father's name. The EDWARDS were from East Hampton, Long Island, Suffolk, NY, and also were refugees in CT and MASS during the Revolutionary War. The lineage for my EDWARDS related family is listed below in the lineage reports, under "Descendents of Ann".

I am also researching in a smaller way, the ARMSTRONG side of the family. The ARMSTRONG family came from Franklin Co., Pennsylvania and migrated to Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Glenn ARMSTRONG settled in Portland Oregon, with his wife, Rachel MUTH.[See Armstrong link on this page.]

This is two generations of the earliest Coopers that we know about. William H. Cooper, variously known as William Harry, William Henry and Jerry Cooper was said to be born onboard ship in NY Harbor and returned to England with his mother soon after. He returned to America when he was about 14 years old. Additional information is always welcome.

Glenn and Michelle Armstrong are the children of Joyce Bruns Armstrong Cooper. Geneva is the daughter of Bill Cooper, and half sister of Farren Cooper. This was taken in 1999.

This was taken in 1954. Left to Right: Elba, Ellen, Bertha, Alice, Fan and Flo Cooper. They were sisters of Albert E. Cooper. The only one alive in 2004 is Elba.

This is Geneva Cooper and her mother's sister. It was taken at our house in Elverta, CA.

Delia Cooper with son Bob, daughter Ellen and Ellen's husband George, Gene Vincent Cooper Reed, with Dottie. Bill Cooper is the boy in the photo.

This is Bill's Dad.It was taken in New Pine Creek, Oregon at the home of Oatman Vincent, Albert's wife's father. This was in Bill Albert Cooper's possession.

This is Oatman and Violet McKune Vincent, parents of Geneva Vincent Cooper Reed, who married Albert Cooper.
- Rose Vincent Garms, Oatman Vincent's Daughter (35 KB)
Rose was the sister of Geneva Vincent (married Albert Cooper) and Gladys (who married Jim Cooper). This was in possession of Bill Albert Cooper.
- Burial Stone Clyde Cooper (39 KB)
Clyde d. in 1971 and is buried at the Catholic Cemetery in Hayward, CA. The photo was taken by Diane Swift, whose husband is Steve Swift. He is related to the Vincent family.

This is another example of the Vincent/Cooper relationships. Dickie is the son of Gladys Vincent and James Cooper. Sharon Tuxhorn Samples descends through the Lucy Vincent and Jacob Hamersley line.
