| The Haney and Conne families are both very large. Hugh Mcgowan was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1813. His granddaughter Mary, married Edward Haney (who was a direct decendant of Sir Francis Drake). The Conne side is a little more difficult. I'm running into endless roadblocks on this one. My Paternal Great Grandparents were James Marion Chance and Stella Louise Clark. They were most likely from the Springfield, Ohio area. From what I can tell the branches of both families moved across the northern United States, finally ending up in Washington State. I will update this information with more detail as it becomes available. I would be pleased to hear from anyone with information about these families and I'd be happy to share any information that I already have. |
