Our Main surnames are Aner/Orner/Arner/UrnerThomas,Shaffer, Woodring, DeHaven, Boehmer, Burke, Whitaker, Sheehan, Lavallo, Volvolino,Fallenti, Dahle, Macanich, Siegel and Welcome. We are searching for my Great Grandfather Alex Welcome. He was b. March 17, 1894 in Finland. During the Civil war between Finland and Russia, Alex came to America. We are unsure if he came with a brother or followed his brother to America. They/He came to America in Abt. 1907-1908 they ported in New Yorks Ellis Island. When they arrived, Alex's Name was change to Welcome. Alex and his brother traveled to Canada where they worked as Loggers. When they had a falling out, Alex came back into America and Settled in Aiken County, Minnesota. Alex's Father's first name was Francis and his Mother's Given name was Josephine Alajoki. I'm willing to swap and trade information, or just help someone if they need info that I have. |
