| I am researching the following families: ARNEY - Switzerland, Ohio, Indiana BAKER - Germany, Ohio BEAL - Maryland, Ohio BLANKENBAKER - Virginia, Indiana CONRAD - Germany, Ohio FISHER - Southwest Virginia, Lee, Scott, Russell Counties GODSEY - Southwest Virginia, Lee, Scott Counties HARLESS - Southwest Virginia, Lee, Scott, Russell Counties HOERNER - Ohio, Montgomery County, Germantown KIRBY - New Jersey, Ohio KLOSTER - Germany, Indiana MARCUM - North Carolina, Tennessee (Hancock & Hawkins Counties), Southwest Virginia (Lee & Scott Counties) MEUNIER - Belgium, Indiana MOODY - Indiana SULLIVAN - Tennessee, (Hancock & Hawkins Co) My biggest roadblock is my 3rd Great Grandfather, Greenberry Marcum. He was born in North Carolina in 1795. He was living in Hawkins Co., TN and can be found in the censuses for 1830-1870. Some time before the 1880 cenus he moved from there to Scott County, Virginia.He died April 4, 1883 in Powell Dist, Scott Co., VA. His wife is listed in Lee County, VA in 1900 and is widowed. My other roadblock is my 4th Great Grandfather, Thomas Beal. Thomas was born in Caroline County, Maryland between 1776-1783. Supposedly he came to Ohio in early 1820's, it has been speculated that he received bounty lands for his military service during the Revolutionary War. I have not proven all of the information contained in this family history but have received a lot of information from other researchers who have been willing to share their data with me.
