This information is a result of several years of research. With the assistance of many, many people I have been able to piece together what I believe is our family history.

If anyone out there has information that could be added, or edited please tell me. I want our history to be perfect, but I know this is impossible. I wish I had started this 50 years ago. I have had to go on memory, and have intervied as many people I can find that may know something about our Family.

A STATEN reunion is held once a year (the 4th of July, or a weekend near the 4th.) in Mississippi. It is usually held at the home place of my Uncle Henry Staten, but this year it was held at Charleston, Ms, one of the county seats.
