Notes for EDWARD ARNOT:
The Arnett Album Vol published by the Magoffin County Kentucky Historical Society in 1983 has a compilation of Arnett history by Media Research Bureau in Washington, D.C. For the most part the account follows James Arnott's records though with much less detail. In a paragraph on pg. 179 (Arnett Album Vol I) the descendants of Edward Arnot are listed. The listing below from the Arnett Album are not noted in James' work:
Edward Arnot > Andrew Arnot > Henry Arnot > Andrew Arnot > Robert Arnot > Andrew Arnot
James Arnett lists the father of the last named Andrew Arnot as John Arnot of Lochrig rather than Robert noted by Media Research.
For the purposes of this genealogy, I've chosen James' lineage.
