| I live in the U.S.A. and have trace my father's side of the family to MOSJOEN,NORWAY. HARRY(HANS) H. ARNESEN(grandfather) came from Norway to USA in 1919?.I think it would be neet to find the name of the ship they traveled on. He married a Lauretta Sibilsky and settled in MICHIGAN. His father IVOR DANIEL ARNTSEN married to Jonetta Henriksdatter (They are buried in DOSTAD CEMETERY in Norway). Ivor had a brother PETTER.I have letters saying these brothers sold there house's to the town to build a court house.This would be interesting to find out.(I dont think this to be true after talking to family member in Norway). I've been able to translate these with the help of a scanner and a good Norwegian named Yngvar. The letters say Anna married a PAUL REKLEV and had children they were/are; Anna Iversen married Paul Reklev B.1872 D.1962 1. Hjordis B.1895 D.1962 2. Adolf B.1897 D.1976 3. Ivar B.1904 D.1973 4. Peder B.1905 D.1972 5. Inga B.1906 D.1930 6. Alma B.1908 D.1920 7. Valdis B.1910 D.living 8. Arne B.1913 D.1914 9. Ola B.1916 D.1997 10. John B.1920 D. I have letters from HILMA ROHRER of Seattle,Washington (who researched and is related somehow. She went to Norway also) from 1970's and would love to talk to her family,she did a lot of research and contacted my dad several times. |
