My name is Lorne Arnold, I am the youngest child of Charles Earl Arnold and Ethel Viola TIffin. I am researching my father's family history and its storied past beginning with my 4th greatgrandfather Frederick's trip from Germany in the 1760's to Pennsylvania and on to settle in Ontario some fifteen years later. The Arnold family built and operated one of the only gristmills in the area, played a part in the War of 1812 between the British and the Americans and were close friends of the Shawnee warrior "Tecumseh". |
