Allen, Kirby, Johnson, Arnold, and Otto in the Midwest

This site includes the ancestors of my father, Roy Tice Allen (1914-2002)who were Germans who settled in Washington County Maryland in the early 1700 and many of whom moved to Ogle County, Illinois in the mid 1800's. It also includes the ancestors of my mother, Vergene Helen Kirby (1923-1956)who came from Ireland in the mid 1800's and settled in Alto Township, Lee County, Illinois. In addition, it includes the ancestors of my step-mother, Bly Marion Johnson, who were Swedish immigrants to the Lindsborg Kansas area in the mid 1800's.
My husband Stephen Irwin Arnold's family is also included. His father, Don Woodrow Arnold's (1914-1992)family, were Swiss and German immigrants to Iowa, and his mother, Marian Whitcomb Otto's (1916-2005)family who settled in New Hampshire and later moved to Iowa.
