| The family of Ruth Elizabeth Collins and Clarendon Clinton Wyatt are researching backward to try to find connections for Indian ancestry, Melungeon ancestry, and Revolutionary War and Civil War ancestors. In particular, CC Wyatt's ancestors included James and Mary Pollie (Pearce) Wyatt, William Tom Wyatt (their son) ancestors. Ruth (Collins)was the daughter of Arthur Collins and Sara Sallie (Satterfield). The family names also include that of Margaret Pratt (grandmother) who married Samuel Satterfield. Arthur Collins died in the Maloney Home in Knoxville in 1961. We are unable to find any info on who his parents were and the funeral home had no information. All those who would know are now deceased unless some of our cousins in the Riley Pate family would know. He was their mother (Louise) father and she was our mother's sister. |
