Andreas & Marianna Miculka Stavinoha
Family History



Andreas Stavinoha was born on November 29, 1821 in house #87 in Palkivice, Moravia, Czech Republic to Ignac & Anna Paluzgova Stavinoha. Andreas met Marianna Miculka born on February 2, 1825, in house #166 also in Palkovice, to Josef & Anna Miculka. While living here in Palkovice, their first daughter, Theresa was born in 1854, followed by a second daughter, Marianna born on July 7, 1857 and a son Ignac was born on February 2, 1858.



Sometime in 1859 the family moved from Palkovice, Moravia to
Vienna, Austria, where Andreas operated a coffee house.



The family decided to come to America and so on September 15, 1860, they boarded the Ship (Bark) Jeverland bound for America. They arrived at the Port of Galveston, Texas on November 18, 1860, from here they went to Fayette County, Texas, around the Bluff-Hostyn and Fayetteville area. According to some family records or information from family members, shows that a son Frank was born on November 7. 1860 and if this is true it is very possible that he was born aboard ship before arriving in the Port of Galveston. Johanna was born on January 5, 1867 and was killed in a gin accident at Bluff on March 17, 1880.

JOHANNA WAS KILLED IN A GIN ACCIDENT WHILE LIVING WITH HER SISTER AND BROTHER-IN-LAW
FRANK FAREK. FRANK LOST AN ARM IN THE SAME ACCIDENT TRYING TO SAVE HER. THIS ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON A SATURDAY PRIOR TO MARCH 24, 1880.
