AROSE OBITUATIES ROBERT A. AROSE JR.- Middletown Township 42, of 49 Taylor Ave, East Keansburg, died Wednesday. He was a lifelong resident of the Bayshore area. He was employed as a tradesman with Kerr Glass and Packaging Co. Keyport. Surviving are his wife,the former Estelle Rommell; three sons,Pvt.Robert A.Jr.,stationed with the U.S.Army,Ft.Gordon,Ga. Walter T. and William at home,three daughters; Cynthia, Patrica, and Frances at home, and a brother, Raymond, here. The John J. Ryan Funeral Home, Keansburg, is in charge of the arrangements. From the Asbury Park Press, Jan.16,1976 WALTER T. AROSE JR.- Union Beach, Mr. & Mrs. Walter T. Arose Sr. M.R. 1, Box 130, Union Beach, were notified Friday by telegram from the Department of Defence, that their son, Pfc. Walter T. Arose Jr. had been killed in action in Korea on Saturday, Aug. 9th,1952. No ferther in details were given in the telegram and the family is awaiting more complete infomation. The youth had recently been promoted to the rank of Private First Class, and was assigned to the Medical Corps. He recieved training at Fort Meade Md., and completed his schooling in that branch of service after his arrival in Korea. In the Aug.14th issue of this newpaper, an item on Pfc. Arose's promotion was included in the sercive column. Pfc. Arose attended Union Beach Schools and Keyport High School. Surviving besides his parents are two brothers, Robert and Raymond,both at home. Sorce-unknown ELIJAH AROSE- died at his home on West Broadway last Sunday morning of some indigestion followed by attack of heart trouble. He was 54 years old,and leaves a widow and six children. Funeral services were conducted from the house Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the Rev. William A. Service officated. Interment was in Green Grove Cemetery. From the Matawan Journal-April 28,1922 Mrs. EMMA D. AROSE- 63 , died at home in Perth Amboy General Hospital,Friday evening.Nov.15,1935. following a illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence of her son, Elmer,of Chingarora Avenue,Keyport. The Rev. Charles F. Vanhorn Jr.pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Keyport, officated. Interment took place in the Green Grove Cemetery,Keyport. Bearers were: Frank Weber,David Blyth,Fred Patterson, Thomas Kearney,Ernest Beers,and William Kimble. Mrs. Arose was born in Highstown and married Elijah Arose who predeceased her. Following his death,Mrs.Arose lived with her daughters and prior to this illness,planned to visit with her son,Elmer. Six children and ten grandchildren survive. The children are;Mrs.Mary Ellen Peterson,Keyport; Mrs. Lillian Chassie, Bridgeton;Mrs.Olive Killmurry,Perth Amboy;George and Elmer Arose of Keyport;and Walter Arose of Keansburg. A sister, Mrs. Lydia Coward,South Amboy;and a brother Joseph Eckman,Freehold,also survive. From the Matawan Journal LORRAINE A. CLARK,--73 of Keyport, died yesterday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St.Joseph's Roman Catholic Church,Keyport.She was a member of the St.Joseph's Altar Rosary Society and the seniors group of St.Clement's,St.Benedict's and Hazlet. She was a lifetime resident of Keyport. Surviving are her husband,Eugene Clark;three sons;Kenneth of Toms River;Thomas & John of Burke;two daughers; Marie of Hazlet;and Patrica South Brunswick; two brothers;Edward of East Brunswick & Elmer of South Amboy; a sister;Irene of Freehold; 11 grandchild;and 1 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm. and 7 to 9 pm. Tuesday at Day Funeral Home,361 Maple Place,Keyport. A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's Church, Keyport.
