Bessie Frances (Mae) Mapp (daughter of James Foster Mapp and Delila) was born 21 December 1889 in Green County, Georgia, and died 09 April 1966 in Crawford Long Hospital Atlanta, Georgia. She married Alvie (Alvin) Lee Arrowood, Sr. on 23 February 1913 in Cobb County, Georgia, son of Emmett Hiram Arrowood and Fannie L. Coleman.

Notes for Bessie Frances (Mae) Mapp:
Bessie (Granny to me) died from flebitis in her legs that was misdiagnosed by the doctors and developed into gangren. One leg was amputated and she was told that the other one would have to come off and she died that night. I never got to kiss her goodbye. I was eleven years old when she died.
