This is a work in progress, the research of my paternal line of Sullivan. The Sullivan families of today's Sullivan's Branch in Dickenson County Virginia are descendants of pioneer frontiersmen. They braved their way into the Appalachian Mountains of Southwestern Virginia and carved out a home in the wilderness. At this point, I have my line in Franklin County Virginia in the late 1700's. I'm seeking information on Samuel W. Sullivant and his sons, William (may have gone into TN), James (made his way into Russell Co. VA-my line), and Samuel (known to be in Greene County KY in February 1819). Other counties covered in my research include Grayson, Buchanan, Dickenson and Russell Counties in Virginia. Please E-mail me if you can make a connection to my line, or would like to comment or add to this information. I will continue to update this information as my search continues. Many thanks to all those who have helped, and continue to help me along the way
