Exploring both my paternal lineage: Arrendale; & maternal: Morris.

On the paternal side I trace my roots to: Thomas Augustus Arrendale, Born 1795, Vetran of the War of 1812, came to Franklin Co., GA in early 1800's.

On the maternal side I trace my roots to: Joseph Morris,1780 - 1852, Married Anna Moore; (he is possibly the son of Thomas Moore 1730-1791 & Anne ?). Joseph came to Acworth, Cobb Co., GA in early 1800's and was a State Representative in 1840.

The Morris Family Reunion occurs at Proctor Creek Day Use Facility on Lake Allatoona, Acworth, GA (the early home/plantation site of Joseph Morris) on the Saturday noon of Father's Day Weekend each year.
