Their father was 74 years old when he died on February 8, 1952. Their mother Catherine Johnston was 72 when she died. Father went to public school on Eager St. and then to Loyola High School. Mother went to school at St. Catherine's. His father was from Ireland, don't know about his mother. Mother's maiden name was McElroy. Father worked in the grocery store in the beginning. He later owned Easton's Mayonnaise and sold it to Kraft. Went into business for himself as King Arthur. Put good Luck margarine on the market. His place was on Richmond St off Paca St. He lost the business in the depression. He also had a series of heart attacks. His businesses were also known as Shefford Cheese and Snappy Cheese. I am not sure if these last two names were his businesses or who bought him out.
Grandfather Thomas had a cafe on Preston Street in the Preston Apartments.
James and Catherine lived in the 1800 Block of Charles, 1920 John street and 1519 Mount Royal Ave. Catherine was christened at St. Ignatius and Lillain was christened at Corpus Christi.
Thomas and Sara lived in Eager St near the jail.
