Researching the family of Samuel Ashton, who came to U.S. from Cheshire, UK in 1853; also Haigh family of Stockport, Cheshire County, UK; also Briggs; and Lincoln, Benjamin, and Chandler, Ann.Samuel's wife was Sarah Haigh, the daughter of Samuel Haigh, circa 1801-1854.William Briggs married Elizabeth Lincoln circa 1858, and had my grandmother Elizabeth Briggs (b in 1862 in London, UK); and Elizabeth Lincoln was born in Hingham, UK in 1837, and died in Swansea, MA in 1878; William Briggs was a seaman, who died at sea at a date following his daughter's birth, prior to his daughter's migration to US sometime close to 1870. I am also seeking information on Benjamin Lincoln and Ann Chandler, the parents of Elizabeth Lincoln Briggs, but have no idea of their birthdates, places, and the dates and places of their deaths. Any information would be deeply appreciated. |
