Ashby b. ca 1773 d. b/f Sept 1857 in Stokes County, NC married: Mourning? b. ca 1781. Children: Elizabeth Ashby, June Ashby, Nancy Ashby, Patsy Ashby, Paulina Ashby, Judah Ashby, John Henry Ashby, ELIJAH ASHBY*. Elijah Ashby b. 1808 d. Stokes County, NC married Lucinda? b. ca 1817. One of their sons was: Solomon M. Ashby b. Oct 4, 1848 Stokes Co., NC and d. Apr 8, 1922 in Henry Co., VA. He married Martha Jane Watkins.
