Much of this information has been gathered from various family collections and recollections and is still a work in progress. Earlier data was found trips to Trenton, NJ and Doylestown, PA. Of great assistance was the Trentonia section of the Trenton Public Library, the New Jersey State Archives and the Mercer County Library and their wonderful staffs.
I am especially interested in finding out the origins of Martin Nolan and his wife, Ann Connor, in Ireland and their whereabouts from the time they arrived in the U.S.(circa 1849) and appeared in Trenton City Directories in 1857. All of their children were born in New Jersey between 1850 and 1860.
Another enigma is the parentage of both Weaver VanSant and his wife, Ann Ivins. These large familes had many progeny but the ancestors of these two g-g-g-grandparents has eluded us to date.
Other families of interest are those of Louis Wagner (Johan and Catharina) and Anna Beal of Trier, Germany, Robert Bowie (Scotland/Singapore) and his wife Sarah VanSant (PA), William Christie (Handley, England) and his wife Eliza Stonier (Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. England). Other families related in earlier generations include Crawford, Dugan, Conroy, McLeece, West, Murray, Donahoe, Murphy, Jamieson (Ireland), Davies (Scotland), Geller, Knapp, Schindewolf (Germany), Elshove and Umstad (Holland), and countless others.
Thanks for any assistance you can lend and best of luck finding your ancestors.
