| I have traced my Family Tree back to 1208 - Lord & Lady Henry De Hassel of Cheshire, parents to Randle de Hassel. From my beginnings in Salford, Manchester, England, I have traced some of my ancestors to the same plot of land that I live on as far back as 1650. Others who emigrated on the ‘Fortune’ the ship after the ‘Mayflower’ to Plymouth Rock. And others who left in the 1800’s and travelled the Mormon trail from England to UTAH. In my Family Tree I currently have 1422 people, 333 surnames, 29 generations, 402 marriages. My Tree has many different stories, from Jane Bellamy who was taken to the Workhouse by Yaxley Parish on the 11 December 1869 because she was unmarried and pregnant her first meal was a supper and she had the number 21 affixed to her clothes. She was later released with son Samuel after his birth in the January 1870. To the respected Williamson Family who owned Grocers and Pawnbroker shops on Chapel Street, Salford in the late 1700’s – 1800’s and owned their own Church Pews which still exist in Sacred Trinity Church, Salford. But who later lost everything due to Samuel’s speculation and had to sell their house furniture. To the Christmas Day ‘Joint’ Wedding of brothers Richard and John Pendlebury to their wife’s in 1879. I hope you find my family history interesting and please contact me should you have any further information for me or if you think we could be related.
