I've just started researching my family "Ashbachers" and my husbands family "Bauers". The Ashbachers are in WI and IA with lineage back to Germany, Ireland, Scotland. The Bauers are in WI with lineage back to Germany and Denmark. John R. Ashbacher is my grandfather, he married Florence Erhart. John Bauer is my husband Tim's, great grandfather who married Catherine Mages. If anyone has information on these families, please e-mail me.
