| My father John Edward Ashcroft was born in St Helens Lanc's on the 12th May 1912 to Ann Ashcroft, he had a brother Ernest and they both worked in Pilkington Brothers( glassworks.) He married Mary Gertrude Cusack and they had a son; John Nicholas , the family then moved to Pontypool, South Wales in 1938 where in 1945 they had another son Rhys David. Mary Gertrude Ashcroft ( Trudy) passed away on the 09/01/1990 John Edward Ashcroft (Jack) passed away on the 15/08/1993. |
